Cyber Victoria Schools Challenge

Cyber Victoria Schools Challenge

The Cyber Victoria Schools Challenge is available to all schools and tertiary institutions in Victoria. School participation for the 2018 challenge will close on May 14, 2018. School participation completed after May 14 will be eligible for the 2019 challenge round. Supported by the Victorian Government, the challenge aims to ignite student interest and awareness in cyber security careers through participating in the online Cyber Security Experience. Click here to register

Through the Challenge students will:

  • Learn more about STEM careers that are currently in high demand by meeting cyber security specialists working at the Advanced Security Operation Centre
  • Take part in a scenario-based game and be challenged to manage risks and make decisions to remedy a potential cyber security attack
  • Participate in interactive activities to strengthen cyber skills such as understanding malware, cracking passwords and log analysis

The challenge is a “Call to Action” for all Victorian schools and tertiary institutions to register students and complete the Cyber Security Experience (click here). Registration and participation is FREE for all Victorian schools. The Victorian Government will present awards to the Victorian schools and tertiary institution with the highest rate of participation in the Cyber Security Experience.
