Day of STEM Program Overview
Day of STEM is an online immersive experience that empowers students to explore a range of different STEM career paths through videos, interactive Q&A sessions and skill-based experiences. Students:
- Get to know Australian STEM professionals working in a range of industries
- Access their career journeys and learn about their daily duties, prior education and the hard and soft skills needed to succeed in their roles
- Build a personalised STEM resume
- Extend STEM and critical-thinking skills to complete interactive challenges and extension activities
- Gain inspiration for further studies by understanding the future career needs of a range of STEM industries
- Explore at their own pace through self-guided activities
Day of STEM programs provide real-world examples of where the Australian Curriculum Digital Technologies applies to future STEM careers. The programs can be taken for free by teachers, students and parents with 24/7 access from anywhere.
Collingwood or South Sydney STEM Cup
Suitable for Grades 7+
Time needed: 45 minutes +
- Get to know Australian STEM professionals working in careers such as sports science, data analytics and the Internet of Things (IoT)
- Access their career journeys and learn about their daily duties, prior education and the hard and soft skills needed to succeed in their roles
- Join the STEM Cup online maths challenge and take on the role of a Capologist to set the Football team’s salaries while abiding by the salary cap

Australia 2020
Suitable for Grades 7+

- Take part in a scenario-based game and be challenged to manage risks and make decisions to remedy a potential cyber security attack
