La Trobe has teamed up with online platform LifeJourney to launch a new app tailored to boost students’ understanding of potential STEM career pathways.The innovative mobile app is designed to excite students considering future careers in fields such as computing, cyber security, science, technology, engineering, maths, data and machine learning.

The winners of the 2019 South Sydney STEM Cup were recognised during the Rabbitohs match vs the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium in mid-August. The student winners took out the top prize by balancing their South Sydney player list, determining player salaries for each team member while staying beneath the 2019 NRL Salary Cap.
The past two months have been an exciting time as LifeJourney has worked across Australia to bring careers in STEM and cyber security to life for students and teachers. The engagements have focused primarily supporting the ASD CyberEXP program through in-person workshops in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle.
South Australian students and teachers will soon have the opportunity for hands-on workshops designed to introduce them to cyber security learning resources. LifeJourney and the Advanced Technology Project will facilitate two workshops, one for students on October 16th and one for teachers on November 13.
The Day of STEM is a national initiative, designed using the LifeJourney™ platform to raise the National IQ for STEM and Cyber Science. The program introduces and inspires all secondary and tertiary education students to pursue STEM careers and build the skills that will open up their future and connect them to the in-demand digital workforce.
