Exciting Teacher PD Opportunity – #CYBERCON 2019 in Melbourne

LifeJourney will facilitate a Cyber Teacher PD workshop as part of the 2019 Australian Cyber Conference at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 8. Teachers joining the workshop will receive a complimentary registration for the entire Australian Cyber Conference provided by the conference sponsors. Teachers will receive a certificate of participation that can be used for accredited professional learning hours.

The LifeJourney team has been busy in 2019, traveling across the country sharing our resources and learning from colleagues in the field. We started our July with a trek to sunny Brisbane and the AAMT Bi-Annual Conference. We heard on several occasions from speakers including, Chief Scientist Dr Alan Finkel and CSIRO Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley, that maths underpins the foundation of all STEM careers of the future in areas like artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles and data analytics.

Clancy Catholic College Wins 2019 South Sydney STEM Cup

The South Sydney STEM Cup will have a new home this year in West Hoxton, NSW as Clancy Catholic College have taken the top School Prize for the 2019 competition by having the highest number of students complete the program. The runner-up is the inaugural 2018 champion Blakehurst High School, while Pittwater House rounds out the top places coming in third.
