We are very excited that our first program, the Collingwood STEM Cup, will be available on the Day of STEM platform starting on 18 July, 2016. The Collingwood STEM Cup program explores career pathways in sports science, data analytics and the Internet of Things (IoT) and culminates with an exciting maths challenge where the student steps into the role of the Capologist at the Collingwood Football Club to draft the ultimate 2017 squad. In preparation for the release of the program we’d like to share a few resources to help improve your experience with the Collingwood STEM Cup and Day of STEM platform. Everyone that has pre-registered for the Day of STEM or the Collingwood STEM Cup will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to activate your account on Monday, 18 July.

Getting Started Guide For Instructors (PDF): This brief guide is designed for teachers who will run the Collingwood STEM Cup program and Day of STEM platform in the classroom. It includes details on how to conduct Day of STEM, the technology infrastructure needed, how to leverage the platform throughout the school year.

 What’s Ahead For Day of STEM?

Several programs become available on the platform over the next few months that feature a diverse range of careers with Australia’s leading companies. These programs will target specific classrooms and sometimes specific regions of Australia. Here is a quick preview of what’s to come!
